Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible on the Recruitment and Selection Process of qualified Applicants;
Knowledgeable on the Minimum Requirements and Matrix of Principals;
Supports the RM and RO in recruiting and selecting qualified Officers and Ratings, required by the Crewing Department as per Principal’s Requirement;
Conducts POEA Verification, background inquiry/character verification of Applicants;
Ensures that the Applicant have passed the IDESS ITest Examination;
Initially check and verify the authenticity of the certificates and documents of qualified Applicants;
Ensures that CVs of Applicants are completely and accurately encoded into the Crewing System;
Responsible in submitting the CV of qualified Applicant to RO/CM/GM;
Monitors all communication related to Recruitment matters (Applicants and Recruitment Email, SeamanJobsite, Facebook Page);
Assists the RO in the PPA Clearance of Domestic Vessels;
Assists the RO in the PPA Clearance of On/Off signing Officers and Ratings;
Ensure compliance with the QMS;
Any other lawful orders directed by the management.
The responsibilities of the Recruitment Assistant are taken over by the Recruitment Officer during any significant absence from the office.
Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree
Have at least 1 year working experience in related field.
Knowledgeable in STCW, MLC2006, POEA and MARINA Regulations and other requirements as applicable.
